Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has sent a heartfelt injury message as he continues recovering from a torn hamstring. After suffering the issue against Crystal Palace back in December, Saka was forced to go under the knife which saw him ruled out for at least three months.
In his absence, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri all stepped up but Mikel Arteta can now only call on two of those names. In early January, Jesus suffered a serious knee injury before Martinelli and Havertz also picked up hamstring issues in the space of just seven days this month.
Raheem Sterling subsequently came into the starting XI against Leicester over the weekend, but he was unable to impact the game. Instead, it was Mikel Merino that won the game for the Gunners off the bench as he scored twice in the final quarter at King Power Stadium.
